Here she is! This is my brand new, 2018 Erin Condren LifePlanner. Although I thought the design was lovely, I didn’t go for the new “Woven Wonder” pattern that Erin Condren introduced this year. Instead, I opted for the Oh Joy! Dancing Dots Metallic cover. They did a few designs in collaboration with Oh Joy!, but I chose this one because of the gold foil detailing. They also have other color options, which come with either platinum or rose gold details.
One change I made this year from previous years is that I decided to go with a gold coil. I’ve actually been sticking with rose gold since its introduction a few years ago. But since I was drawn to this cover, I chose to stick with the matching gold. I’m very happy with the decision and it looks gorgeous! Erin Condren has definitely come a long way with the quality of their coils over the years.
Inside the front and back covers, you’ll find space to jot down anything you want with your Erin Condren wet erase markers. Unfortunately, you can see on the inside of my front cover, there’s been a printing error. That barcode should have been on the back cover, while the Erin Condren and Oh Joy! logos should have been on the front. This will become more apparent when you see the back cover later in this post. However, it’s no big deal!
In the front of the 2018 Erin Condren LifePlanner, you’ll see a monthly look at the year ahead. And you’ll find these pages, which are perfect for recording monthly goals. However, it’s really up to you how you make use of these pages! It’s the perfect space for you to get creative and create something that’s going to work for your lifestyle.
If you’re familiar with these planners, you’ll notice there’s been a change to the page at the beginning of each month. Although I did like last year’s design the featured circles and lines, I think this is more practical. It provides plenty of additional space for writing down ideas, brainstorming, and anything else that comes to mind.
There hasn’t been a change in the monthly view. It’s the same classic look with a lined column on the sides for jotting down any extra details.
As you can see, I chose the horizontal layout, which I’ve been buying since it launched. The horizontal is much better for me because I prefer having lines and my handwriting is rather big. I also went with the colorful version because I prefer this layout to the neutral one. There hasn’t been any change here since last year’s design either.
Towards the back of the planner, you’ll find your “Notes” section. It features four lined pages (bottom left), four dotted pages (bottom right), and three coloring pages (top). It’s plenty of space to jot down notes, do a little bullet journal style planning, doodle, and color your heart.
You’ll see the third coloring page inside the 2018 Erin Condren LifePlanner on the left. But on the right side, is a new addition this year. Instead of doing a fourth coloring page, they added this “Let’s Keep in Touch” page. It provides a place to record names and phone numbers and includes a “Contacts” tab on the right side. Personally, I’m not a fan of this and don’t see myself using it. Does anyone still keep a physical contact book? I would have preferred an extra coloring page!
After that, you’ll see a look at the year ahead, which is for 2020. For anyone who is planning things far in advance, this obviously comes in handy. You’ll see each month of the year with space to jot down important notes. And there are blank boxes at the bottom of each page.
There are four sticker pages with plenty of gorgeous options for you to choose from. There are icon stickers, flags, checklists, various fun designs, and blank boxes. It’s the perfect way to decorate your planner and add a little flair to your pages!
One of the nice features about the 2018 Erin Condren Life Planner is this gorgeous two-sided folder. This is obviously included every year, but the Woven Wonder design just looks so lovely here. And it’ll really come in handy for stashing all those extra bits you’re toting around.
Inside the back of the folder, you’ll find your Perpetual Calendar, as always. And of course, there’s the inside of the back cover where you can use your wet erase markers. This is where you’ll see the logos that should have been on the inside of the front cover, while the barcode should have been here instead.
And we can’t forget about the handy pouch that comes with every LifePlanner! It holds a few goodies for you, including three compliment cards, two gift labels, and a sticky coil to secure to the pouch and snap it into your planner. We also have this year’s ruler, which features the new Woven Wonder design.
If you’ve purchased from Erin Condren before, you know you usually get a couple extras in your box. This year I found a postcard and a gift label. For those that purchased early enough, they wear lucky enough to snag a few extras. This included a sticker sheet and a reusable bag, which I’m obsessed with. I already have one of these from Erin Condren and they’re perfect for taking to the store.
When it came time to order some accessories, I decided to snag the 2018 Erin Condren LifePlanner Move In Bundle. This included a set of Dual-Tip Markers, a new Snap-In Dashboard (with rose gold detailing!), and a pack of elastic bands to keep your planner secure in style. Everything was packed nicely in an organza bag, which isn’t pictured here. But there was one more thing in this bundle…
There was a brand new sticker book as well, which is always exciting! This is the Classic Collection Edition 4. It features tons of stickers for you to choose from, including some clear designs that Erin Condren hasn’t done before. I love getting these sticker books. I own all of them and get plenty of use out of each one.
I also ordered some additional sticker sheets for decorating my planner. These weren’t new releases, but since I was placing an order, I had to get them. I chose the Alphabet & Illustrations, Functional Flags, and Motivation & Celebrations. I also snagged some brand new Date Dots, which are in a gorgeous rose gold.
Because I have planner stickers all over the place, I also ordered a sticker box to stash everything in. Unfortunately, the sticker sheets above don’t fit in here. Perhaps they were designed before the box? I’m not sure, but it would be great to see Erin Condren rethink the design of the sticker sheets so they can all fit.
I also purchased the latest design of the Snap-In Stylized Sticky Notes. I have three other ones of these, which may indicate I have a problem. But I love sticky notes! And I insist on purchasing the new design every year. Then, I decided to pick up a stencil sheet and the Woven Wonder Metallic Mini Snap-In Bookmarks. I love having these bookmarks, as I already have a number of them. But the metallic detailing is just lovely.
And finally, I got the new Planner Folio in this gorgeous Watercolor Floral. I was so excited to see Erin Condren release these because it’s a huge step-up from the pouches they’ve had in the past. I do have one and I’ve used it, but this one is much more functional. These can be personalized, but I skipped that option.
Inside, there are a few pockets and a place to safely stash your pen. For me, you can expect this to house a few stickers since they’re a must-have when planning!
And here, you can see what the planner looks like inside the Planner Folio. It’s a perfect fit and will really come in handy whenever you’re on the go. I highly suggest grabbing on these for your 2018 Erin Condren LifePlanner if you can!
