With so many blogs on the Internet today, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. Especially when you realize there are a ton of other blogs writing about the exact same topics as you! So, how in the world do you get those people to choose your blog over another one? Make them fall in love with you! As someone who has been blogging for over six years, I’ve learned a lot about the difference between a successful blog and one that flops. To help you out, I’m sharing four tips to make your blog readers love you:
Give your readers what they want.
Okay, this should come as no surprise, but the first key to a successful blog is giving your readers exactly what they want. And no, you don’t have to be a mind reader in order to do this. You just need to get clear on who your target market is to figure out what those people are looking for online. What types of posts do they want to read? What do they need help with and what can you offer as a solution? In order to make your blog readers love you, stick to the topics you know they’ll love. Eventually, you’ll become their go-to gal for whatever your niche is!
Write in your own unique voice.
The voice you use to write your blog posts will help you stand out from the crowd. Don’t be afraid to show off your personality in your writing. When your voice resonates with us as readers, it helps us form a stronger connection with you. And when your audience feels that connection, they’re going to be more likely to come back to read new posts and possibly buy from you!
Find your unique voice to make your blog readers love you. But if you’re not a natural-born writer, you may feel it’s tricky to find your true voice. The most important thing is that you are genuine. If you find that you’re still having trouble with writing, try using a dictation app and speak your blog posts instead of typing them out. This will capture you in a way you normally speak.
You should always, always, always, be consistent with your posting. When your readers know they can count on you for great content, they’ll love you that much more. This doesn’t mean you have to post every day, but you should create a posting schedule and stick with it. For example, let’s say you want to post three days a week. Commit to posting every week on the same three days to create a routine for both you and your readers. The fastest way to lose readers is by not posting. Make sure you’re regularly creating only quality content for your readers.
If you really want to make your blog readers love you, give them some free stuff! Seriously. Who doesn’t love a freebie? Content upgrades are a fantastic way to give your readers a little extra something to take away from your blog posts. Make sure you deliver quality freebies that your readers will use and appreciate. You can create worksheets, checklists, or even mini eBooks for them to dive into!
