I’m a pretty big fan of journaling.
It’s something I’ve gotten into the habit of doing on a regular basis. And I specifically use a technique called “scripting,” which allows me to make journaling a tool to really supercharge my manifestations. Through scripting, I put myself into the vision of having already manifested the things I desire. Ultimately, it helps get me onto the same energetic frequency as the thing I want, allowing it to manifest into my reality with ease.
If you’re not familiar with scripting, I highly recommend checking out my course, Journaling in Flow. It teaches you all the basics of journaling for manifestation. And it has plenty of incredible prompts to kickstart your new journaling habit.
But one of the things I’m often scripting about? Money! By journaling about my financial goals, it allows me to reach them much more quickly and with as little resistance as possible. So, I thought to myself… Why not share some of my tried-and-true journal prompts for attracting money, so you can do the same?
5 Journal Prompts for Attracting Money
These are the prompts I frequently turn to whenever I’m looking to give my bank account a boost. Grab your journal and let’s get to it!
1. How have I been blocking my ability to receive and keep money?
If you haven’t yet attracted the money you desire into your life, it’s probably because there’s some sort of block that’s standing in your way. Only when you have identified and worked through this block will you be able to open the floodgates of abundance.
Ask yourself how you have been impeding the money flow you so obviously deserve. Is it because you have limiting beliefs around money? Perhaps you feel unworthy of earning the money you desire or you feel like others would judge you for being abundant. Is it that you have a fear of earning money because you worry that you’d then lose it? Or maybe it’s just that you aren’t taking the necessary action to actually make money.
Get to the root cause of your money blocks and work through them in your journal. Once you’ve identified them, rewrite those blocks into positive statements to shift your view of money. For instance, “I’m not good enough to make a lot of money,” becomes “I am capable of making all the money I desire and I am worthy of it.”
2. When I become financially abundant, my ideal day would be…
One of the best ways to embody the feeling of already having the money you desire is to put yourself into a movie where you play out your ideal day. But before we can do that, the first thing to determine is how much money is needed for you to feel financially abundant. You want to be incredibly clear with the Universe when it comes to how much money you want.
From there, imagine what your life would like when you’re making that money. What time would you wake up in the morning? Do you have a set morning routine that you’d follow? How would you dress and do your hair and makeup? What kind of work would fill your day? And what else would you be doing? Dream big and let it all out in your journal.
One fun thing you can then do is find elements of your ideal day that you can start incorporating into your life right now.
3. You’ve just received $1,000. How would you feel? And what would you spend it on?
Imagine that an additional $1,000 has just landed in your bank account. This is money that you have been waiting to receive and now it’s finally yours. What would it feel like to know that money is in your bank account right this very moment? The key here is to get descriptive and to really embody that feeling of having the money now.
Then, list out all the things you would spend the full $1,000 on. But there’s a catch! This isn’t money to be spent paying off bills or debt. This is fun money that you get to spend however you’d like. Would you book a vacation? Buy a designer handbag? It’s totally up to you!
The reason we want to do this is because money likes to have a purpose. After all, it’s just energy and you need to direct it where to go. This is one of my favorite journal prompts for attracting money because if you’re not giving your money direction on where to flow, it’ll just flow somewhere else. And we don’t want that!
4. Fill two pages with money-loving affirmations, feeling them as being true.
Fun fact for you! This is one of my favorite journal prompts for attracting money because it works the fastest for me. Whenever I need help reaching a money goal (particularly during a launch), I turn to this one. The reason is because it has resulted in me landing $800 clients, money from unexpected sources, and more.
All you need to do is fill two pages with money-loving affirmations. And as you write them, genuinely feel them as being true for you. Visualize what your life would look like if this affirmation was your reality.
You could write, “Money flows to me easily, frequently, and abundantly,” will visualizing the amount of money you’d like to see in your bank account. Or thinking about already having the things you’d spend that money on.
5. Give thanks for at least 10 things you have in your life.
And finally, it’s time to give thanks. The Universe simply cannot deliver more amazing things to your life if you aren’t grateful for all that you currently have. Take some time to write about at least 10 things you’re grateful for, no matter how big or small. This is a great exercise to notice even the smallest things that we often take for granted.
