Can you believe that we have officially entered the last two months of 2017? Although I’m excited for the holidays to arrive, it’s also a little overwhelming because there are so many things I’d like to do before the year ends. There are a lot of projects floating around in my head that I’m trying to figure out how I can accomplish or how I can fit it into 2018.
I’m sure many of you are also feeling that end-of-the-year crunch as the new year quickly approaches. So, if it has you stressed out too, you aren’t alone!
The best advice that we can all keep in mind is that it’s important to plan ahead and use our time wisely. At the same time, you shouldn’t overload yourself with work either. We also need to allow ourselves to take time off to properly relax and enjoy the holidays. Just be smart about what you commit yourself too before the year ends!
With that said, I have a few goals that I’ve set for November. And I’m sharing them with you today. As always, be sure to share your goals with me and we’ll hold each other accountable over the coming weeks.
1. Start Working on My Plan for 2018
How many of you have already planned out your entire 2018? If you have, major kudos to you! I haven’t even started yet. While I certainly have a few ideas floating around, I haven’t made any concrete plans. That’s why I’ve made it one of my goals for November and I’ve already begun working on it. It’s important to give yourself goals so you know what you’re working towards each year.
However, it’s also good to remember that you should be flexible. If your priorities change or something just doesn’t fulfill you anymore, that’s okay. You can always make adjustments as you work through 2018. But having a plan to follow will maximize your time and efforts within your business.
I’m planning to determine which major projects I’ll focus on next year (coaching, courses, etc.) and what time of the year I’ll dedicate to each. This gives me a guideline for what I need to be working on and win.
2. Update Sales Funnels to Maximize Income
If you don’t already have sales funnels in place for your business, you might want to make that something you work on before the year ends. It’s great to have sales funnels in place that are doing the selling for you. Sales funnels certainly are not my speciality, but I have some in place that were created a while back. I want to take time this month to update those sales funnels and ensure they’re actually getting the job done. I need to create an updated funnel for new subscribers to my list, as well as other offerings that I have.
3. Convert My eBook Into an E-Course
Quick question for you! Do you prefer an eBook or an e-course? Personally, I’m more interested in an e-course, although I will purchase an eBook if it could potentially add tremendous value. However, I’ve lately been thinking about my eBook: Blogging Bombshell.
Since I recently moved my course, Socially Coveted, to Teachable… I started thinking that it might be great to convert Blogging Bombshell into a course instead of a book. I think this could encourage more sales, while also helping people to better work through the material. When you purchase an eBook, it sometimes sits on your laptop collecting virtual dust bunnies. However, a course is more interactive and would require people to work through each of the lessons, thus encouraging completion.
Have you ever converted an eBook into an e-course? Let me know your thoughts!
4. Enjoy the Holiday!
It might seem silly to include this as a goal, but sometimes we have to remind ourselves that it’s okay to step away from our work. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I want to make sure that I’m taking time to relax and be with family. There’s something so fun about baking for the holiday, working on festive DIYs, and all that. That’s why it’s one goal I had to set for myself this November.
